Mother's Milk Soap (MMS)

Prefer to call it "mother's milk" rather than "breast milk", after all it comes from the mother. A friend had shared her excess mother's milk with me, so that I can try it on the soap. The steps are the same as making Goat's Milk Soap. I decide to make this into marseille soap which is known for the high content of olive oil (72%), makes the bars precious with moisturizing effect.

Even with high content of olive oil, I am surprise with the lather from this soap.

While I was searching for more information about MMS online, notice that MMS is not widely accepted in Western compare to Asia. MMS is very popular in Taiwan and it is known to be good for skin problem.  Some of soap makers also offer the service to help making MMS.

In fact, the idea of making MMS was inspired by these ladies Nana and Ena (she has also published a book mainly on MMS)

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in MMS. Especially mothers with excess milk, this is another best way to make full-used of the milk.

**Marseille soap or Savon de Marseille is a traditional soap made from vegetable oils that has been made around Marseille, France, for about 600 years, the first recorded soap maker in the area in about 1370.
